Privacy and cookie statement

This site does not track you. No analytics, no tracking cookies, no advertising and no social media buttons watching along. That is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

  • One cookie, and only if you click light or dark yourself.
  • No analytics package, no ad network, no profiling.
  • What you email or message us is only used to reply to you.

Who processes your data?

This website belongs to Pixelbits online solutions, Den Oudenhof 1, 5066 MX Moergestel, KvK 17.24.23.24. Questions about privacy? Email info@pixelbits.nl or call 06 1209 1915.

What is a cookie, actually?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer, phone or tablet. It lets a site remember something, such as a setting. Cookies can also be used to follow you across websites and build profiles. We do not do that.

Which cookies does this site use?

One, and you only get it if you press the light or dark mode button yourself. It contains only your preference, no data that can be traced back to you.

Name Purpose Type Duration
pb_thema Remembers whether you view the site in light or dark mode, if you choose one yourself. Functional 1 year

Functional cookies are allowed without consent, because they are needed for something you ask for yourself. Hence: no cookie banner. Still want it gone? Delete this site's cookies in your browser; the site will then simply follow your device's own mode again.

And what do we not use?

  • No Google Analytics or other analytics package.
  • No advertising or tracking cookies, and no social media pixels.
  • No embedded videos or maps quietly passing on your data.
  • The fonts currently still come from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address. We are moving them to our own server.

Server log files

As with almost any website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical log files, including the IP address, the time and the page requested. These are needed for the security and operation of the server, and they are deleted after a short period. We do not use them to track or recognise visitors.

When you contact us

If you call, email or message us, we only use what you send to reply and, if we work together, to carry out the assignment. We do not sell or rent out your details, and we do not send newsletters you did not ask for.

WhatsApp, email and telephony services have their own terms and privacy policies as well.

How long do we keep it?

No longer than necessary. A question that leads nowhere is deleted after six months. If you are a client, we keep your details for as long as we work together, and after that for as long as the law requires: for records and invoices that is seven years.

Who do we share data with?

Only with parties that help us deliver the service, such as our hosting provider, and with whom we have agreed on security and confidentiality (a data processing agreement). Data stays within the European Economic Area. Beyond that we share nothing, unless the law requires it.

Do we manage your website?

Then we come into contact with data about your visitors or customers. In that situation you are the controller and we are the processor. We enter into a data processing agreement for that; the short version is in our terms and conditions.

Security and reporting a weak spot

We secure our systems as well as can reasonably be expected, and keep access limited to those who need it. Still spotted something wrong with this site or with something we manage? Report it via info@pixelbits.nl. Give us the chance to fix it before you share it; you will hear from us what we do with it. The details are also in security.txt.

Your rights

You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and ask to receive it in a usable file. One email is enough; you will hear from us within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We would appreciate hearing it from you first: that usually solves it faster.

Changes

If something changes about the site or the way we work, we update this statement. Below you can see when that last happened.
